Dispatch Operations Supervisor – GO2 Delivery
📍 Location: Virginia Beach, VA
🕒 Schedule: Monday – Friday (including some midshifts to oversee evening Dispatchers)

As a premier medical courier service specializing in time-sensitive pharmaceutical and medical specimen deliveries, we are growing rapidly and seeking a customer service-driven Operations Supervisor to lead our dispatch team, ensure exceptional service, and drive performance in a fast-paced logistics environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead & Develop the Dispatch Team – Mentor, train, and manage dispatchers, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused work environment.

  • Ensure Outstanding Customer Service – Serve as the primary escalation point for client concerns, ensuring timely resolution and proactive communication.

  • Oversee Daily Dispatch Operations – Coordinate workflows, assign deliveries, and manage Independent Contract Couriers to ensure efficient scheduling.

  • Drive Performance & Results – Monitor key operational metrics, identify trends, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and service reliability.

  • Optimize Scheduling & Routing – Ensure deliveries are assigned strategically, balancing driver availability, customer needs, and on-time performance.

  • Solve Problems in Real-Time – Quickly address service issues, last-minute changes, and urgent orders to maintain smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Dispatch Operations Oversight

  • Directly oversee and support the Dispatch Team and Logistics Coordinator, ensuring compliance with scheduling and performance standards.

  • Provide coaching and feedback to dispatchers, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.

  • Continuously assess dispatch workflows and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

  • Act as a point of escalation for operational challenges, ensuring swift resolutions that align with customer expectations.

Independent Contractor Management

  • Ensure all scheduled routes and STAT orders are assigned efficiently and within required timeframes.

  • Monitor driver availability and collaborate with the Dispatch Operations Coordinator to maintain a reliable IC driver pool.

  • Assist in real-time adjustments to driver schedules to meet fluctuating demands.

Customer & Client Service Leadership

  • Serve as the lead contact for escalated customer service issues, ensuring a swift and satisfactory resolution.

  • Ensure dispatchers communicate proactively with clients regarding order status, delays, or changes.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through reliable service and proactive problem-solving.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and analyze dispatcher performance, identifying areas for improvement and training opportunities.

  • Prepare reports on key metrics such as order volume, on-time performance, and service challenges.

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement initiatives that enhance efficiency and service quality.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: 3+ years in a customer service leadership role, preferably in logistics, dispatch, or operations management.
Proven Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong background in ensuring top-tier customer service and handling escalations effectively.
Operational & Problem-Solving Abilities: Adaptable and solution-oriented, with a knack for optimizing processes and resolving challenges quickly.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking tools, and operational reporting.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in medical courier services is a plus but not required.

Pay & Benefits:

💰 Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
