Independent Contract Courier – Medical & STAT Deliveries | Richmond, VA | $300–$600 Per Long-Distance Trip (varies with distance)

GO2 Delivery is partnering with Independent Contract Couriers throughout the Richmond, VA area for time-sensitive medical, specimen, and pharmaceutical deliveries. We're especially looking to partner with contractors who have evening, overnight, and weekend availability for STAT delivery opportunities.

Compensation & Opportunity Highlights

$300–$600 typical payout on some longer-distance STAT routes (varies by route/requirements)
STAT delivery orders are typically received between 7:00 PM–6:00 AM and anytime on weenends.
Long-distance routes may include Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, and South Boston (6–9 hours total drive time)
Delivery opportunities available 7 days a week based on client demand
100% independent contractor model — you control your own schedule and route acceptance

What the Work Involves

Picking up and delivering STAT medical items — specimens, pharmaceuticals, and other time-sensitive orders
Meeting client-specified delivery windows and instructions
Maintaining chain-of-custody documentation throughout each delivery
Communicating with dispatch during active runs
Using your own reliable vehicle and maintaining a professional presentation at pickup/delivery locations

Understands the responsibility of transporting medical/healthcare materials

Contractor Eligibility Requirements

Age 23+ (insurance requirement)
Valid driver's license
Clean driving record — no DUIs in the past 10 years, max 2 infractions
Commercial auto insurance: $100K/$300K liability, $5,000 max deductible
Must pass a criminal background check
Reliable personal vehicle suited for local and extended routes

Doing medical courier work requires a great sense of urgency, attention to details and a professional and courteous demeanor. You will need to be in route to pickup within 10 minutes of receiving the job. You must proceed directly to delivery location after pickup with no stops or delays in between. Are you able to meet these expectations from our clients?*

Tell us the time period(s) that your business would be operating and open to receive jobs from GO2 Delivery. Keepp in mind that ince you accept a long distance run iut could take 6-9 hours to complete due to odistance and drive time. Please list days and hours you are open for business.*

The minimum auto insurance requirements of $100,000/$300,000 Single Limit of Liability and no more than $5,000 deductible must be maintained in order to contract as a courier. Do you currently have or intend to ensure that you have this level of coverage?*

Since you are starting your own business, there will be some minor start up and ongoing costs. The start up cost is $109.00 and includes the following: Criminal Background/Driving Record Check ($54.00 minimum, but cost is variable based on what states are being checked), Medical Courier HIPAA/Bloodborne Pathogen Certification ($45.00) and account set up fee with Open Force ($10.00). You will need to acquire your own supplies - (coolers, spill kit, gloves,ice packs) prior to starting). Do you understand these costs and requirements?*

Recurring bi-weekly costs include - 2.97% fee (based on gross earnings) for Open Force Membership. This membership includes direct deposits of settlements, 1099, Occupational/Accidental Insurance and other benefits. The delivery software/ESChat is $27.50 bi-weekly. Do you understand these costs?*

As an Independent Contract Courier, you would be representing GO2 Delivery and our clients. We choose to contract couriers that will represent us professionally and share our vision of providing amazing customer service. The next step in the process is to complete a video interview to answer some basic questions. If you are selected to move on from there, the next step would be a virtual business meeting.
